Description:
This course is addressed to teachers (lecturers, instructors, teaching associates/assistants, etc.) of the Italian language already working in US universities and/or high schools who want to receive training and/or refresh their knowledge on the teaching of the Italian language through food. All materials and assignments will be posted online so that participants can access them and work on their assignments asynchronously. Dates and time slots for the optional zoom meetings will be set up at the beginning of the course based on participants’ availability. 

The course covers the following topics: 

  1. How to use food and food culture in teaching an Italian language class (from elementary to advanced levels).
  2. How to use food and food culture in content and language integrated learning class.

At the end of the course, each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.
