Piccoli Amici (“Little Friends”) is an immersion-style course designed to teach Italian to Pre-K and Kinder students through fun vocabulary-building activities, songs, and storytelling! Each 45-minute online lesson will be taught in Italian. Your teacher is Ylenia.

Join Geronimo Stilton and his team in a new adventure throughout the “Thousand Wonders” (Le Mille Meraviglie) of the regions of Italy! This online Italian language course is presented in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles and is based on the book, “Viaggio alla Scoperta Dell’Italia.” This special edition of Geronimo Stilton was created for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the aim of bringing kids closer to the many artistic and cultural beauties of Italy, even the lesser-known ones! In our highly engaging multi-level course, kids 7+ will be involved in an online treasure hunt that takes them on a journey to discover the land and culture of Italy. A free copy of the book will be donated to each course participant by the Italian Cultural Institute. The classes will be taught in Italian (English when necessary). Your teacher is Caterina.

This new course, for 7 to 12 yr. intermediate Italian students, is based on “The Adventures of Dantino”, a book about a rather frightened little boy who becomes the protagonist of a great fairy tale. Within the fairy tale, the little boy follows the same path as the poet (DANTE ALIGHIERI) and meets many of the places and characters of the Divine Comedy. This very entertaining journey promises high engagement and lots of fun for students who will learn new Italian vocabulary and sharpen their reading and comprehension skills. Games and activities throughout the course aim to reinforce what is learned.  The classes will be taught in Italian (English when necessary). Your teacher is Ylenia.

This 6-week course, designed for intermediate-level Italian students ages 6-12 who can read in Italian, brings students on an empowering journey, introducing them to the real-life adventures of trailblazing women from Elizabeth I to Malala Yousafzai. The course is based on the bestselling book, “Storie delle Buonanotte per Bambine Ribelli”, whose unique narrative transforms each biography into a fairytale. This course promises high engagement and lots of fun for students who will learn new Italian vocabulary and sharpen their reading and comprehension skills. Games and activities throughout the course aim to reinforce what is learned.  The classes will be taught in Italian (English when necessary)

From soccer to swimming, from athletics to basketball: in this multi-level course, students ages 13+ will explore the personal stories, drive, and resilience of various athletes who made history. This course is recommended for students who would like to play baseball like Charlie Brown, volleyball like Mimi` Ayuara, basketball like Bugs Bunny, run like Beep Beep the roadrunner, or simply relax on the sofa like Homer Simpson! This very entertaining course promises high engagement and lots of fun for students who will learn new Italian vocabulary and sharpen their reading and comprehension skills. Time: Tuesday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm PST

In this course, based on the book “Storia Dell’Arte In 21 Gatti”, Art history gets a fun feline makeover with 21 purr-fectly cultured cats in the styles of ancient and modern masters. Throughout the course, 5 to 10 years old students will meet beautifully illustrated cats, each one inspired by a specific period in art history: Surrealism, Cubism, Abstract Expressionism, Ancient Egyptian (of course), and many more. Each class will introduce students to key themes and artists and then students will then make their own versions! Your teacher is Ylenia.

Time: Wednesday  from 4:30 am to 5:30 am PST

In this course, students will refresh their Italian skills before going back to their Immersion Italian Program in the Fall. Games, quizzes, stories, short reviews, and activities promise students a lot of fun and a summer ‘school’ like NO other. Your teacher is Sylvia.
