Illustrated lecture by artist, curator, and instructor Tricia Grame who discusses the evolution of the image of the female body in art and its enduring cultural impact on art history, ancient symbols, female identity, the collective belief systems about women, their prescribed position in society and throughout history.

Tricia Grame is an artist, curator and educator, who has curated more than fifty exhibitions with lectures concentrating on the female symbol. Art exhibitions in Pietra Santa, Italy and  St. Julians, Malta inspired her to continue her doctorate research there where hundreds of sculptures and etchings have been discovered depicting women as sacred.
She creates two and three dimensional art that is influenced by prehistoric female symbols and how images of the woman manifested into contemporary art.
