Festa di Carnevale & Battle of grapes at Museo ItaloAmericano, SF – Feb 26th

In these uncertain Covid times the Museo has decided to merge the Wine Tasting originally scheduled for January 29, 2022 and the Festa di Carnevale Event to give people the possibility to attend in person in multiple locations or online.
 
The new event will take place at the Museo Italo Americano at Fort Mason on February 26th where the event will be broadcasted virtually. Alternatively, you can attend in person at the San Francisco Wine School or online via Zoom from the comfort of your home. Both Zoomers and Roomers will have an immersive, engaging  experience.
 
Spuntino e Dolci will be provided for those attending at the Museo and promoters encourage guests to dress in festive Carnevale attire and masks!
 

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
San Francisco Wine School proudly presents another exciting edition of Battle of the Grapes 🍇 Northern Italy vs Southern Italy benefiting the Museo Italo Americano and their Italian and Italian-American art and culture programs. This live, hybrid event hosted by Master Sommelier and Founder of San Francisco Wine School, David Glancy, will feature a tasting of 8 Italian, varietal wines from 4 grape varieties (Vermentino, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, and Merlot) with one from Northern Italy and one from Southern Italy. Throughout the evening, we’ll uncover the history of these 4 grapes, the origin of the wines, and some blind tasting techniques to help us identify their region.

EVENT INSTRUCTIONS:
The wine tasting kit will be at the Museo for people attending the Festa di Carnevale, but you need to register for  “pick up” at checkout and send an email to help@sfwineschool.com letting the Wine School know you’ll be attending at the Museo.
Zoomers can pick up 8 two-ounce bottles or have them shipped to them to taste the same wines as the Roomers at the same time.

A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Museo Italo Americano. Promoters also encourage attendees to make additional donations directly to the Museo to support this important institution during these difficult pandemic times.


REQUIREMENTS:
All attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Adult signature is required for all tasting kit deliveries.COVID-19 information for SF Wine School HERE
Proof of vaccination is required for anyone attending at the Museo.

Zoomer with Standard Shipping – register by Feb 20th
Zoomer with Expedited Shipping – register by Feb 22nd
